NAN SHAN | Law Clerk

Nan Shan is an experienced litigation attorney from China. She holds a Chinese lawyer’s license and has over five years of experience in civil litigation, corporate legal consulting, and cross-border transactions. She previously worked as an associate in the construction law team at Grandall Law Firm’s Shanghai office, ranked in the Legal 500 Asia-Pacific. In this role, she successfully handled complex construction contract disputes, conducting in-depth analyses to identify potential legal risks associated with construction contracts and presenting practical recommendations to mitigate those risks.

Recently, Nan successfully pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) degree at Washington University School of Law and was a member of the International Student Advisory Board for the Global Studies Law Review.

With a unique blend of Chinese and U.S. legal expertise, Nan Shan joined KAZANAS LC Law Firm as a law clerk. Her diverse learning background enriches her legal perspectives and gives her a comprehensive understanding of U.S. law practice. Upon becoming licensed to practice law as an Attorney in the U.S., she plans to represent both commercial and corporate clients. Her strong passion for the U.S. legal system is evident, and she is particularly interested in probate and trust law, commercial litigation, and privacy law protection, where she looks forward to further developing her expertise.

Outside of work, Nan Shan is a multifaceted individual. She enjoys dancing, playing billiards, and cooking. Her love for billiards even led her to compete in Shanghai’s first university billiards tournament, where she showcased her impressive skills.
